Location: Warton – Hybrid, 3 days per week on site minimum – You will be working across both Warton & Samlesbury sites

Salary: £44,907+ (DOE)

Job Description:
As an Assistant FP&A Accountant, you will support the delivery of high‑quality, forward‑looking financial analysis and insights that help drive business performance. Working within a collaborative FP&A team, you will contribute to forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement of data‑driven processes. Your role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of contracts, enabling you to build a robust understanding of business performance while supporting the Senior FP&A Accountant in delivering clear, insightful financial outputs.
Core duties:
- Support delivery of financial outputs, including monthly forecasts, across a varied portfolio of contracts
- Work with colleagues across finance and operations to ensure financial information aligns with operational performance
- Monitor monthly actuals and interpret variances against forecast positions, highlighting key drivers
- Contribute to the preparation of presentation packs for senior officials performance reviews
- Support improvement strategies, including use of tools such as Power BI and AI to enhance reporting and insights
Essential Skills:
- Part‑qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience, progressing toward qualification
- Considerable analytical capability, with experience working with data, identifying trends, and supporting performance insights
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, to interpret data and present outputs clearly
- Experience working with colleagues across teams to align financial and operational information while supporting process improvements
The FP&A Business Performance Team:
You will be part of a collaborative team, supporting with providing timely, data‑led insights. The team works across a varied contract portfolio, partnering with finance and operational colleagues to improve reporting, enhance processes, and deliver meaningful performance analysis.
