The mission for this role:

You will lead, manage and scale the engineering organisation at Attest, which forms a part of our wider Product and Tech organisation.

In this role, you’ll have responsibility across: 1. technical delivery of our engineering teams; 2. people management of the engineering department; and 3. ensuring that technical delivery is consistent and aligned across our engineering squads.

A critical parts of your role will be to achieve this by coaching and mentoring our engineering managers and Staff Engineers, and work closely with our product organisation to deliver our ambitious roadmap as well as collaborating with our staff engineers to provide technical leadership and structure across Engineering.

Your focus will be to...

  • Manage, coach, support and develop the engineering managers and senior engineers
  • Manage, support and partner with our Staff Engineers, in particular to create and maintain technical alignment across Engineering
  • Help us hire and scale the Engineering, Infrastructure and data engineering teams
  • Work closely with the Product team on technical delivery and on scaling and building new squads
  • Support, guide and manage the infrastructure and data engineering teams

We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You have led an engineering organisation as a Head of in scale up mode
  • You have depth and breadth of experience mentoring, coaching and developing in particular Senior Engineers and Engineering Managers and you personally thrive on seeing them grow, learn and succeed in their individual roles
  • You have built and managed high performing engineering teams and have a clear view on what high performance and best practice looks like for an Engineering organisation, and methods you can apply flexibly to execute on that vision
  • You have scaled an engineering organisation from 10s to 100s
  • Ideally, you have worked in a high growth SaaS business and understand the structure, pace and ways of working we deploy

We are a flexible employer and continue to work with the team on the ground to navigate our way through the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic together.

As a company, we aren’t a fully remote company and place strong emphasis on teams being able to meet, and spend time together in a safe and flexible environment regularly, as well as being able to travel to meet customers when rules and safety considerations permit. We always want to ensure that is balanced against having a healthy approach to flexible working/working from home and nurturing your life outside of work as well as in work.

With that in mind, we have a permanent office location at 25 Holywell Row, London EC2A 4XE**,** London, where our team spend time together on a weekly basis. We don’t set specific rules, but expect folks to spend time with the team in the office on average 3 days per week.
