We’re looking for two Platform Engineering Managers to join our Digital, Data and Technology department. In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll guide a team of engineers in designing, building, and maintaining the platforms that underpin our digital services. Your work will ensure our infrastructure is scalable, secure, and aligned with strategic goals—empowering high-performing delivery teams and shaping the future of our technology landscape.

What will you be doing as a Platform Engineering Manager?

  • Lead and mentor a team of platform engineers to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions

  • Define and implement platform engineering strategies aligned with business objectives

  • Drive automation and infrastructure-as-code practices across the platform estate

  • Collaborate with security, operations, and development teams to ensure platform reliability and compliance

  • Continuously evaluate and improve platform performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency

  • Champion DevOps culture and modern engineering practices across the organisation

What does it take to be a Platform Engineering Manager?

  • Proven experience in platform engineering and infrastructure leadership roles

  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS) and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)

  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to lead and inspire technical teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
