PRODUCTION PLANNER

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Infrequent

LOCATION: Brize Norton – On site working 100%

TYPE: Full time 35 HOURS, Mon-Fri – Moving forward, this will be a shift-based “days only” role on a 5, 5, 4 pattern

Our contract with the MOD states we will provide a continuous service to cover on a 24 hours, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to the Royal Air Force, to maintain and ensure airworthiness of their fleet of aircraft.

Our services include both direct and indirect functions which all work together to provide the airworthiness total service – including maintenance planners; licensed line maintenance engineers; technical services including structures and systems specialists; facilities management; security; health and safety etc.

An exciting opportunity has arisen, for anyone looking for a challenge, to join our Airbus team at Airbus Support Centres UK based in RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will review the day to day production planning and execution of the maintenance operations to ensure on time delivery to the customer.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Collaborate with Part-M planning, AIOC and Senior Lead Engineers to effectively coordinate work packages ensuring delivery against operational requirements and resource efficiency; Attend key meetings to detail updated progress, issues and set agreements to the maintenance plan.
  • Analyse technical documentation to ensure all job requirements are met. Advise on the recovery of aircraft defects at all line maintenance stations.
  • Ensure material requests and procurement activities required by the maintenance activity are followed to ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain close communications with the engineering teams. Receive and act upon feedback for continuous improvement. Gather data for analysis and measure the performance of maintenance operations.
  • Organise, source and budget control of working parties required to carry out aircraft maintenance.
  • Understand aircraft allocations/hangars and the capabilities/restrictions (ie lighting, space, storage).
  • Ensure all critical maintenance and independent inspections are clear, understood and undertaken during periods when engineers are most alert with human factors awareness. Guarantee all maintenance to be performed is within scope of MAA Part-145 approval. Ensure any maintenance operations performed by the AMUK Part-145 meet CAA, MAA and Health and Safety regulations.

About you


To be a successful candidate for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following essential attributes and skill sets:

  • Ideally both Aircraft Engineering and Production Planning experience (one will still be considered)
  • Understand technical engineering documentation.
  • Be able to identify and correct process inefficiencies, design and shape new ones
  • Knowledge on data analysis

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of MDS (A400M Maintenance data system)
