Job Description:

This position aims mainly for structural defects found during the maintenance activities and to save the cost of outsourcing and bring value to Airbus Chengdu in China.

ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Scheduling and overseeing routine maintenance checks.

  • Implementing and adhering to strict safety guidelines.

  • Using hand tools, diagnostic tests, and gauges to identify hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions.

  • Collaborating with engineers and system mechanics to ensure that all aircraft systems are running correctly.

  • Preparing diagnostics reports and suggesting repair solutions based on thorough evaluations.

  • Ensuring that all aircraft parts are accurately labelled, organized, and restored.

  • Performs regular maintenance on aircraft.

  • Ensures proper working condition of mechanical systems before flight.

  • Develops and maintains records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and any reports related to parts or services.

  • Inspects and examines engines, wings, propellers, tails, and other parts to identify cracks, corrosion, or other defects.

  • Inspects hoses and lubricates joints; replaces any that show signs of needing repair.

  • Consults maintenance manuals and specifications to identify correct operations and specifications for replacements or repairs.

  • Install new parts to replace or repair defective or recalled parts or to enhance the performance of the aircraft; performs these tasks efficiently and to specifications.

  • Ensures proper function of engines and operating systems via a variety of tests and tools.

  • Identifies and resolves mechanical problems based on visual inspections or reports from pilot or crew.

  • Perform the structural repair if there are structural defects found during the maintenance activities.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Other tasks assigned by manager

QUALIFICATION

EDUCATION: with Aeronautical vocational diploma, or equivalent degree, in mechanical, automation or aircraft maintenance related major.

EXPERIENCE: 5 years in aircraft maintenance or above

CERTIFICATION: better to have Civil Aviation Administration of China Part-66 TA licence

LANGUAGE: fluent English both in written and oral speaking

KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Thorough understanding of aircraft parts, aircraft structure of A320 series, A330 as well as 737NG.

  • Thorough understanding of tools and testing methods used to ensure proper functioning of an aircraft and its parts, systems, and mechanics and to perform the structural repair.

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to manual instructions to resolve complex mechanical issues and have the ability to look up for drawing in Airbus world and my fleet Boeing.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software used to complete and maintain records.

  • Detail-oriented with mechanical inclination.

  • Superior and careful workmanship.

  • Ability to perform consistently under stressful conditions.

  • Ability to perform basic inspections and repairs.

  • Ability to learn new skills and methods of repairs.

  • Sufficient oral and verbal communication skills, as needed, to discuss equipment malfunctions and complete reports.

ABILITIES: 5+ Years experience on structure repair
