The successful applicant will join Materials & Process Department (M&P Development) as part of Airframe organization.
We are looking for an Engineer or Sciences Degree with experience in Materials and Processes, focused on Metals, Surface Treatments, Paints, Sealants and Elastomeric Technologies (but not limited to) with respect to development and design of solutions, materials qualifications, processes control, testing and failure analysis.
The position requires a good balance between a high technical expertise in M&P Projects, materials and associated processes and surface technologies in general and some managerial skills.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Material and process development
- Material and Process Specification and Qualifications for Military Aircrafts and related products
- Material selection and Support to design, manufacturing Engineering, supply chain and quality for any material related queries, concession, etc.
- Representation of TADAP3 in Project Meeting, MFT'S and Task Groups.
- Lead the Processes Specifications development, technical notes, etc. for Surfaces Technologies under the control of ADS SAU.
- Test Plans definition for R&T, Design and development of new technologies and materials, regarding technical solutions in the M&P scope.
- Failure analysis for the scope assigned.
- Support to industrial environment
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Educated to degree level in Engineering or Science Degree. Valuable: Master's Engineer or Master's Sciences Degree.
- Experience in Engineering, at least 5 years of proven experience in Materials and Processes, especially, but not only, in paints, surface Treatment, corrosion protection, sealants, elastomeric materials as well as comprehension of adequate test methods
- You are able to support technically new material supplier qualifications and developments. You have experience in impact analysis and problem solving.
- Deep REACH knowledge. EDES knowledge.
- Experience in international environment
You will have also experience/knowledge in:
- knowledge about the materials requirements for Aircraft Airbus Standards and quality standards
- Material technology development
- Scientific and technology laboratories knowledge (materials analysis, physical observation of samples), etc.
- Project Management,
- Knowledge in the field of materials for low observability applications, also for other functionalities like thermal or electrical
- Knowledge in equipments and EDES management
- Knowledge in REACH developments
Basic Skills
- You are recognized for your flexibility, interpersonal skills, ability to find solutions and for your ability to face pressure,
- A good level of English and Spanish is required for this position. Other languages are also appreciated.
- Availability for relatively frequent travelling is required.
