Job Description:

We are looking for a Technical Publication Engineer (m/f) for our French Technical Data Airframe business within the Customer Services Department based in Toulouse, France.

Airbus Customer Services, Technical Data is in charge of delivering maintenance manuals to customers which are critical components of the aircraft delivery.

Our Operational Unit develops, delivers and supports aircraft maintenance documentation directly used by the customers (airlines, Maintenance & Repair center, lessors).

Technical Data is organized in 3 authoring domains (Airframe, System, Cabin&Cargo) and 5 local lines (France, Germany, India, Spain, United Kingdom).

You will join a team of 13 people in the Technical Data Airframe domain in France (near the Blagnac airport), within the "Structure Maintenance & Repair Parts" team for A350, A320 family, A380 and A330/A340.

We are responsible for these 3 manuals:

  • Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) : Part Numbers identification for the line maintenance,
  • Structural Repair Manual Identification (SRM Ident.) : Part Numbers identification for the structural repairs,
  • and Illustrated Parts List (IPL) for the Component Maintenance Manual (CMMm) : Part Numbers identification for the on-shop maintenance.


Your challenges:

  • Analyse and collect source data (Modifications created before and after the aircraft delivery) to define the technical impact on IPC, IPL and SRM ident
  • Ensure internal authoring of this 3 manuals
  • Launch the work orders to the subcontractors in charge of the Technical Data authoring
  • Support the subcontracted activities (in India)
  • Perform the technical checks of the deliveries (Authoring work orders)
  • In case of blocking points, ensure the technical interface with Design Office, Maintenance and Retrofit Engineering, ...


After 1 year of training with a dedicated tutor, you will be certified in the technical check of the work orders for one manual, and answer to customer's queries.

This position requires a minimum of 3 years to reach the first level of technical autonomy on the 3 manuals.

Your boarding pass:

  • Technical drawings reading and understanding
  • Attitude to work within a team
  • Customer minded
  • Advanced level of English (transnational daily exchanges). The minimum B2 level is mandatory to be certified.
  • Advanced level of French (daily teamwork)


It could be a plus:

  • Configuration Management knowledge
  • Design office tools knowledge (GILDA, PASS SSI, APS, ...)
  • Knowledge of Technical Data Authoring
  • SAP tool
  • Spares and airframe knowledge
