Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (f/m) to join our Airbus Customer Care Centre, Working Party Team based in Toulouse, France.

Airbus Customer Care Centre, Working Party Team provides after sales engineering support to their customers worldwide,

Specialising mainly in structural repair, the Airbus Working Party department provides major repair services to their customers at locations throughout the world.

Our team offers complete certified packages including customised repair solutions, planning and repair embodiment.

As a Working Party Manager, you would be responsible for overseeing aircraft repair projects from the planning phase, through to embodiment and release to service. You will act in a certifying capacity, coordinate the Airbus team onsite and work with our customer to deliver on time, on cost and on quality products to an industry leading standard.

As this role is mainly for structural repair activities, a successful applicant should have spent a considerable period engaged in activities such as heavy maintenance, manufacture or cargo conversion.

Working in diverse teams with customers worldwide, the ability to manage across different nationalities and cultures is a large part of this position.

Your Challenges:

- Managing team competences and allocating work

- Carrying out inspections

- Certifying aircraft repair tasks in establishing Working Party file and issuing Certificate of Release to Service for the work package performed, in accordance with EASA/FAR Part 145 rules.

- Ensure airworthiness of the aircraft for the work performed through the Working Party.

- Maintaining compliance with Airbus 145 procedures

- Manage the customers on site.

- Away from our primary activity, the Working Party Manager can expect to be engaged in other activities such as:

  • Supporting across programs in advisory roles
  • Developing special working party tools
  • Developing and validating Service Bulletin ’s (SB)
  • Engaging with other Airbus departments on cross projects
  • Supporting Airlines and MRO’s in advisory roles such as troubleshooting and repair embodiment.
  • Support Airbus production in pre-SB​

This role requires extensive travel. All applicants should be prepared to travel for long periods on short notice.

What more?

  • To lead a team up to 30/60 people from working party core team or from manufacturing units.

  • Working Parties can reach a value of approx. 4 M Euros, involving up to 3000 Man Hours.

  • Competency in Structural aircraft repair will be advantage

  • To be able to establish, maintain good relationships with customer and negotiate on the working party aspects.

Your boarding pass:

  • Required Qualifications (Obligatory)

  • -EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License Cat B1 (B2 and C added advantage)

  • -Minimum 2 current Airbus Type Ratings in B1 cat

  • -5 years certifying experience in a supervisory role

  • -Advanced English (French, German, Spanish added advantage)

  • To be flexible

  • To be able to establish, maintain good relationships with customer and negotiate on the working party aspects.
