Job Description:

Airbus India Private Limited is looking for an intern to join the Materials, Processes and Tests team to provide support to study the applications of shear thickening fluids in composite applications .

Key responsibilities

  • Detailed literature study of current state of art and different candidate materials for shear thickening fluids(STF) for impact resistance.

  • Research application of STF in aircraft structures and narrow down on choices of STF’s which can be used in aero-structures within the framework as per EASA/FAA, REACH..etc

  • Comparison of STF components with current material being used in aircrafts.

  • Generate preliminary Value assessment

  • Shortlisting suitable STF materials with multi-functional capabilities and to have a detailed comparison in terms of benefits, limitations and relevant properties.

  • Discuss with Academia to understand the current developments with characterization/testing and material modeling.

Key skills and qualifications

  • Material Engineering /Polymer Engineering/ Polymer Chemistry

  • Knowledge on thermoset polymer matrix composite materials is an added advantage

  • Literature review .

  • Interpersonal skills.
