Job Summary:

NAVBLUE, an Airbus Company, is currently seeking a Software Performance Manager (SWP) to join our growing team. The SWP is in charge of a team within NAVBLUE's Software Factory that builds the company's core products: software for flight operations.

The role is key to ensuring that the Software Factory produces software on time, on quality, and in the most efficient way possible, having a direct impact on the company's Business Objectives. The SWP focuses on the activities across our different production sites: Waterloo (Canada), Gdansk (Poland), Bengaluru (India), or Toulouse (France).

The role involves activities both within the Software Factory, and liaising transversely with business owners and the Operational Excellence team. The Head of the SWP reports to the HO Software Factory , and is also connected to the Operational Excellence team.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of internal and sub-contracted Software Factory activities, with the support of the Delivery Managers

  • Actively identify and lead initiatives to improve SWF KPIs and performance for the site (on time, on quality, and efficiency), using lean and agile methodologies & principles

  • Contribute to the evolution of SWF Key Performance Indicators

  • Ensure adherence to the SWF process by all site actors and their counterparts

  • Contribute to SWF process and methodology harmonization and evolutions for all sites

  • Drive SWF Risk Management with the support of the Delivery Managers

  • Contribute to the resource plan, AOP (annual budget), and forecast follow-up

  • Ensure SWF activities for the site are compliant with export control regulations

  • Manage a team members (<5)

To be successful in the role, the SWP must take ownership and adopt a proactive and collaborative approach with stakeholders to ensure buy-in, advancement, and performance in relation to SWF activities and processes.

Required Technical Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge and/or experience of Performance and Risk Management

  • Transverse project management

  • Experience of driving improvement initiatives, and/or knowledge improvement methodologies such as Lean and Agile, process mapping, and value stream mapping

  • Knowledge and/or experience of Organizational Change Management

  • Software development experience

Required Soft Skills:

  • Be driven, proactive, structured, diligent, collaborative, and open minded

  • Effective time management skills; capable of managing multiple competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a dynamic technical environment

  • Analytical and problem solving

  • Ability to combine a detail oriented approach when necessary, with pragmatism

  • Strong written/verbal communication, skills

  • Effective interpersonal skills, ability to engage and motivate staff to deliver on objectives including in a non- hierarchical dimension

  • Adapt well to change

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in engineering, management, software development, or equivalent

  • Relevant work experience

  • Min 5 years of overall work experience
