CONTEXT OF THE POSITION...

The Global Mobility Partner plays a key role in supporting international employee movements, including expatriate assignments, localizations, business travel compliance, and contract transitions. This role ensures that all mobility activities are handled efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with global mobility policies and local legal requirements. The position works closely with internal HR teams, business functions, and external vendors (e.g., tax, relocation, immigration) to deliver a smooth mobility experience for employees and their families.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Assignment Management

  • Coordinate end-to-end global mobility processes for inbound and outbound employees (e.g., expatriation, repatriation, transfers).

  • Manage assignment letters, service agreements, and internal approvals.

  • Ensure compliance with internal mobility policies and local labor regulations.

  • Partner with payroll, tax, and immigration vendors to ensure accurate and timely support for employees.


Policy & Compliance

  • Serve as a key point of contact for policy interpretation and application of mobility guidelines.

  • Ensure mobility practices are compliant with global policy, local law, and tax regulations.

  • Support risk assessment for international assignments, including social security, tax liabilities, and immigration.


Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., relocation, immigration, tax consultants) to manage services for employees.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including HR Business Partners, Reward, Talent Acquisition, and Finance.

  • Support vendor performance tracking and cost management.


System & Data Management

  • Maintain accurate mobility records and assignment data in HR systems (e.g., myPulse, iPeople).

  • Track assignment statuses, costs, and compliance documentation.

  • Generate mobility reports and dashboards as required by management or audit.


Employee Experience

  • Act as a mobility advisor and support international assignees before, during, and after their assignments.

  • Provide clear communication on policies, entitlements, and procedures.

  • Organize onboarding/offboarding briefings and ensure a smooth transition.



QUALIFICATION

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Global Mobility, International HR, or Expatriate Services.
  • Experience in a multinational environment is strongly preferred.


Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of mobility lifecycle, expatriate compensation, tax, and immigration principles.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English; Mandarin is a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, myPulse, or similar) is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of China labor law and international employment practices is preferred.
