Job Description:

A position as Electromagnetic Modeling and Simulation Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful applicant will join EME, Antenna Systems and Low Observability SP department.

Tasks

As an EM M&S Engineer, you will develop the following challenging tasks and activities:

- Computation and analysis of installed antenna performances (radiation patterns and coverages).

- Interoperability studies between RF systems co-installed on aircraft.

- Computation and analysis of different concepts of EM hazard protection against HIRF, Lightning, EMI/EMC phenomena, ESD, Tempest, NEMP, etc.

Required skills

As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Physics.

- Strong background in electromagnetism theory and physics, RF, antenna and EMH protection.

- User experience on the following tools will be positively considered:

  • Simulation and modelling tools for EMC and antenna design and integration (CST, EMC PLUS, FEKO, etc.).
  • CAD tools (CATIA, 3DX, Rhino, etc.).
  • Mathematical programming tools (MatLab, Python, etc.).
  • Postprocessing tools (Tecplot, Paraview, etc.).

- Ability to work autonomously as well as being active part of a team.

- Ability to overcome difficulties in the development of the projects.
