Job Objectives

Handle Rewards operations in Japan such as payroll processing and related Compensation & Benefits operations

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure on time monthly payroll processing contribution for Japan entities
  • Perform payroll quality check before final review by the Rewards Team Lead and to generate on time payroll related reports to Finance on a monthly basis
  • Creation & update of new employees details in the HRIS system and uploading of relevant e-documents
  • Support the Rewards Team Lead in reviewing the current operations processes (e.g. Payroll)
  • Support payroll audit when required.
  • Ensure on time annual Income Tax submission to the Financial Authority in Japan
  • Support on job evaluation and job grading exercise
  • Support the Rewards Team Lead in conducting annual salary benchmark exercise/survey with external consultancy firms
  • Support the Rewards Team Lead in conducting annual salary review / variable bonus calculation/ letter merging for Japan entities
  • Any ad hoc tasks and projects when necessary

Personal and Interpersonal Skills

  • Meticulous and good with figures

  • Dynamic with strong interpersonal skills
  • Language skill: Native in Japanese, Business level in English

Professional Skills

Essential:

  • At least 3 years of working knowledge in Human Resource disciplines; previous experience in payroll operations is necessary.
  • A good operational experience within fast pace and complex multinational environment
  • A good understanding of the Accounting legislations

Desirable:

  • Minimum Tertiary education and above in any discipline preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or Accounting.
  • Prior experience with HR system will be preferred.
