CONTEXT OF THE POSITION...

A Cloud Solution Engineer is a professional who designs and manages the cloud computing architecture for Airbus subsidiaries in China. This position serves to bridge the gap between business requirements and the technical implementation of cloud solutions.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The job holder will be accountable for delivering the global design including technical requirements, principles and models in line with the Enterprise Architecture guidelines.

The job holder is responsible for the general development and design of a robust, scalable, and cloud-based platform.

The job holder provides support by advising, documenting, and reviewing the current design and architecture and specifying the proposed future architectural solution required to a design level, in conjunction with project constraints, data analysis, policies, and guidelines.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Landing Zone architecture with AWS best practices (e.g., VPC, IAM, networking, centralized logging, and monitoring).

Organization: Define how AWS accounts, organizational units (OUs), and services will be organized within the landing zone.

Networking design and implementation: Ensuring VPCs, subnets, VPN, Direct Connect, and security groups are configured appropriately.

Identity & Access Management (IAM): Implementation IAM solutions and manage roles, policies, and permissions

Integrate security controls into the architecture, including WAF Securesphere, Palo Alto firewalls, IAM roles, SCPs, encryption, etc.

Cost Optimization: Identify areas for cost savings, such as rightsizing instances, turning off unused resources, and leveraging reserved instances or spot instances.

Ensure the scalability & flexibility of architecture (e.g., multi-region, hybrid cloud), support scaling for applications and services (e.g., auto-scaling, load balancing).

Conduct research on PCP EU releases and technical posts(Github, Confluence, etc.) and AWS professional solutions (blog) to improve PCP China platform functionality (new services, features, etc.)

This role will involve a few travels for business several times a year in mainland China.

QUALIFICATION

EDUCATION: with Bachelor Degree of Computer Science or Information System.

EXPERIENCE: 5 years’ experience as an IT Solutions Architect, and 5+ years architecting IT solutions in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

CERTIFICATION: Relevant Cloud certifications such as AWS or Azure

LANGUAGE: Fluent English both in written and oral speaking

KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS: Technical writing experience, wide knowledge of latest cloud service technologies
