Job Description:

Development of the Finite Element Models (FEM) to be used for Static and Fatigue & Damage Tolerance analysis.

• Perform literature review to understand the characteristics of the shear thickening fluid.

• Determine the stiffness, strength and damage parameters (fracture energies etc.) from the literature

• Develop the modeling and simulation methodology for shear thickening fluid

• Analyse simple use cases and demonstrate the difference in behaviour between current material and shear thickening fluid in terms of impact resistance

• Summarize findings, prepare the report and suggest a way forward.

Pre-requisites:

• Overall knowledge of materials (metallic, composites)

• Good knowledge of structural mechanics and FEM (Linear/Non Linear, ABAQUS preferred)

• Experience of scripting is added advantage
