We’re looking for a Product Manager to work in our Machine Learning team, conducting groundbreaking research into building data models that can enable our product suite to provide better clinical outcomes and tooling, powered by machine intelligence.

Reporting to a Senior Product Manager, you’ll work alongside Machine Learning and Data Engineers, Product Managers, Product Designers, New Product Leads, and cross functionally with domain experts as well as a (200+) team of Clinical specialists. This is a unique opportunity to identify smart use cases that leverage data to help us to solve real customer needs and meet our ambitious goals of helping every young person to build the capabilities for long-term mental health.

  • Work with a squad (or 2 smaller focus squads) of machine learning engineers to validate data models across a range of clinical use cases
  • Prioritise and identify the most impactful machine learning efforts to empower every young person to build the capabilities for long-term mental health
  • Work closely with an engineering manager within a machine learning team to identify suitable use cases for machine learning and ensure the team is focused on the right goals
  • Work ahead of time to find the right problems and validate the customer need
  • Establish and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation who focus on innovation, research and operational excellence
  • Coordinate with other product teams to improve data quality and establish go to market strategies for successful machine learning models
  • Provide clear written documentation to support the product development process - including third party approval of proposed machine learning research initiatives


  • 3+ years experience as a Product Manager, preferably some in start-ups and/or machine learning
  • Deep empathy for users and the ability to put yourself in their shoes to understand their needs
  • A passion and drive to support young people to improve their lives, questioning the status quo to do this
  • Curiosity and courage to ask questions about newly presented ideas and information
  • Collaborative working style that involves the right people throughout
  • Strong interest in, and enthusiasm for, data and machine learning
  • Can identify when machine learning is a suitable solution to explore and when it isn’t
  • Ability to evaluate and inform work based on a variety of data sources
  • Present and discuss technological concepts in ways that are easy for everyone to understand
  • Great written communication skills

As part of our pre-employment checks, all employees of Healios will be asked to have a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Dependent on your role within the business, this will either be an Enhanced or Basic. A Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check will be required. You will also be asked to provide two professional references as a minimum.
