Job Description

The role is remote-first and we meet in London one day per month in our office. If you’d like to understand more about what it’s like to work at Flexa, then read our ways of working and benefits doc here

Flexa is the global directory of verified flexible companies 🌍

But what does that mean 🤔

We work with companies to get them discovered as truly flexible places to work, by verifying them through our two-stage Flexification process. Our platform enables users to find out which companies offer the working environment that they want through our flexibility filters.

We have over 600,000 users, 150+ companies, and we have just closed our Seed round… So, we are looking for someone to lead the new business side of Flexa.

You'll be working closely with our CEO, Molly, and building out a team of sales people as we scale.

The key things that we will be looking for in applicants 🔑

  • Senior sales experience at a tech startup / scaleup; having previously scaled a client-base and revenue.
  • A genuine hunger to win new business. We have big ambitions, and this role will be a key driver of our progress.
  • The ability to sell a story, not just a product. Selling the "what" is very different to selling the "why".
  • An analytical mind. We have loads of data, but we don't do enough with it. We are looking for someone to come in and challenge our assumptions, prioritise our next steps, and bring insight and ingenuity into Flexa's sales process.
  • Willingness to learn and take full ownership of your role, we need both a thinker and a doer.
  • A love for flexible working and a true belief in the potential of the Flexa platform

If you think this is your dream job and you’d be amazing at it, but you don’t tick all the boxes, then we’d still love to hear from you and why you think this is the perfect role for you.

Some nice-to-haves ✅

Below are some criteria that we would love someone to have at least a few of. Please don't be put off from applying if you don't match all of the below criteria. If you think you'd be brilliant at this role, then please apply anyway.

  • You've worked in HRTech or an adjacent industry
  • You've been involved in sales hiring strategy before
  • Strategic leadership experience (managing a team of >3 people)

What can we offer you? 🎁

  • We (genuinely!) think that this is an exciting opportunity to learn quickly in an environment that will support you and give you freedom and autonomy to shape the product and our future

  • c.45 days holiday! We offer 2 week-long company shut down periods, plus 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.

  • Flexible working! Work wherever you want (we can only support being based in the UK at the moment, though). We meet once a month in London for a co-working day and some drinks afterwards

  • An office that you can use if you wish, based near Broadway Market in East London, but there’s no obligation to come in more than once a month on our nominated team day

  • Generous annual company and personal performance based bonus

  • A very easy-going but driven team that want to enjoy work and the team we work with

  • A culture where we care about output, not how many hours you work. You will be given autonomy from day one, but we will always be here to help and guide

  • Employee share options scheme

We are a fast-growth startup and, generally, we have great work-life balance and don’t want or need people to work long hours, but some weeks are busier than others. Flexibility means the ability to manage work and life around each other, and in this role, there needs to be a genuine desire to work hard but flexibly (of course!).

We're a super diverse team on all fronts apart from one very important one... Racial diversity. This is our number one hiring goal for this year and we know that we need to do better. We believe that a flexible working environment is a more inclusive working environment, and we are committed to making sure that Flexa is as inclusive as possible, so please never hesitate to talk to us about your wishes, needs, and circumstances.
