About the role...

This role will be part of the team reporting into the Growth Director, focusing on market development, with the objective to identify, assess, and prioritise opportunities in new customer segments and geographies that will drive growth over a 3-5 year horizon.

The Details...

  • Identify potential new customer segments for Currencycloud
  • Map and segment different geographic and sector-based markets with meaningful cross-border payment needs
  • Size the addressable market in the identified segments
  • Develop hypotheses about the most attractive strategic opportunities that will drive growth over the next 3-5 years
  • Assess product-market fit for potential new customer segments
  • Understand customer needs and problems in the identified segments
  • Shape the Currencycloud value proposition for the identified segments, encompassing product fit, pricing, and channel requirements
  • Assess competitive intensity and our market position
  • Validate product-market fit through potential customer and expert interviews
  • Prioritise the most attractive customer segments and develop business plans to go after them
  • Develop and run a transparent prioritisation approach to identify the most attractive growth opportunities for Currencycloud, taking into account market size, growth potential, and risk
  • Shape the go-to market approach for the prioritised customer segments, working closely with the Marketing, Sales, Product and Compliance teams
  • Build business cases for the prioritised opportunities and help shape investment prioritisation for the company, working closely with the Marketing, Sales and Finance teams

Skills Knowledge & Expertise

  • Interested and is exposed to strategy work
  • Passion to be in the payments/fx space
  • Work well in teams with the ability to manage own workload and tenacious attention to detail
  • Have the ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders
