Responsibilities:

  • You will pro-activity work to assist the Group Data Protection Officer, to whom this role reports, in driving and developing the data protection function within the business and establishing the Data Protection and Privacy Office across the Humn Group.
  • Provide pragmatic data protection and privacy advice to all Group entities across the globe.
  • Oversee and support business areas on a wide range of issues including the completion of Data Privacy Impact Assessments, Data Subject Access Requests, Data Subjects Rights Requests, Legitimate Interest Impact Assessments, Data Transfer Assessments, Retention Requirements, advice around marketing and related activities, cookie compliance etc.
  • Oversee responses to DSARs and other individual rights’ requests prior to release to ensure responses are in line with statutory and regulatory obligations and deadlines.
  • Participate in the review of third party vendor due diligence requirements.
  • Represent the Data Protection and Privacy Office across advisory and functional committees such as the Information Governance Operations Group.
  • Support the business in relation to its breach response and mitigation procedures.
  • Aid the Group Data Protection Officer in drafting Policy, Procedure and Guidance relevant for all Group Entities and Subsidiaries.
  • Managing relationship and responses with the relevant Data Protection Authority when required.
  • Aid the Group Data Protection Officer in proactivity monitoring developments across the global privacy landscape in order to advise the business on relevant changes.
  • Provide and contribute to tailored data protection training either in person or online.
  • Deputize for the Group Data Protection Officer if and when required.

Skills

Essential

  • 5 + years’ experience as a Data Protection and Privacy Practitioner either within an in-house environment or on a consultancy basis.
  • Degree level educated with subsequent professional qualifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT.
  • Excellent consultancy skills with the proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Subject matter expertise in privacy & data protection regulations with an awareness of relevant case law both in the context of UK legislation and globally.
  • Proven experience dealing with Data Protection Authorities.
  • Proven ability to prioritise a large and varied case load to deadline.
  • The ability to work autonomously however contribute within a team environment.

Desirable

  • Experience working in regulated sector such as financial services, banking or insurance.
  • Experience working with the OneTrust platform
  • Records Management/ Archiving Experience
  • An active interest in Data Ethics
