Who are CloudNC?

CNC machines are responsible for producing more than $120BN worth of metal components every year, serving every manufacturing vertical from motorsport parts in Formula 1 to satellites in space.

Despite this, the software used to control these CNC machines are stuck in the dark ages. It can require hours (sometimes days) of manual instruction by a skilled programmer before a component can be produced.

The commercial team

The commercial team at CloudNC is highly motivated and tenacious, they know the future of manufacturing is automation and enjoy partnering with customers across many different industries, including aerospace, defense, and medical to name a few.

They're agile and able to react quickly, working with operations to generate quotes and together on post-sales activity.

Managing the sales cycle end to end, they are success-driven and enjoy the autonomy to achieve goals and measure their own performance.

Purpose of the role

  • To support the BDM with strategically sourcing, developing and tactically building a continuous pipeline of new business opportunities, engaging with key stakeholders to support winning opportunities that will contribute to the long-term growth and profitability of the Company
  • To successfully manage the generation, nurturing and tracking of qualified leads from cold to hot
  • To process quotes, orders and generally support customers with expediting where required
  • What are my key responsibilities?
  • Manage, track and report on all activities and results using our CRM (Pipedrive).
  • Process customers enquiries, quotes and orders.
  • Support the commercial team by inputting all of the required information required for quotes.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to get quotes to turnaround quotes quickly.
  • Handle customer enquiries.
  • Generate new business leads to fuel CloudNC’s pipeline and growth.
  • Collaborate with and leverage team mates (Sales Management and Business Development Executive) to develop targeted lists, call strategies and messaging content to drive opportunities.
  • Utilise industry knowledge to research & develop accounts, identify and target key players, generate interest, and identify compelling events.
  • Sell our offering to companies via cold calling, email, marketing campaigns, social selling.
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of CloudNC's product suite.
  • Meet and exceed targets for sales qualified leads (SQLs).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Preferred Qualifications (not essential) - Formal qualification or equivalent, preferably in an engineering, technical-related, Sales, Marketing or business qualification
  • Experience of consistently exceeding KPI and revenue targets within a Sales Development role.
  • Experience of business to business cold-calling/telesales.
  • Experience of using a CRM and ability to build reports.
  • Experience of understanding a company USP and how it compares to the marketplace.
  • Excellent communication skills including an engaging, articulate telephone manner and excellent listening skills.
  • Excellent English writing skills, confident in creating content for email marketing and social selling.
  • Self-starter with a track record of successful, credible achievements.
  • Team player; happy to work in a strong collaborative environment.
  • Passionate about how technology changes entire industries.

Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Responsibilities

  • Act responsibly in relation to all matters which may affect the Health and Safety of themselves and others whilst on Company premises, customers’ premises and travelling between sites, and to adhere to safety regulations at all times.
  • Observe all safety procedures and instructions and assist in maintaining a safe work place and reporting any accidents, hazards, near misses, defects or damages to plant and equipment to the appropriate person.
  • Report any injuries sustained (or near misses) during working hours.
  • Be conscientious and understand the importance of maintaining, following and striving to improve operating procedures
