Your mission
As Head of People at deepset, your mission is to help in scaling the whole organization; you have the unique opportunity to shape our growth journey from a hands-on small team to becoming a large organization, you will continuously re-calibrate our talent strategy to the new organization level, always making sure that deepset stays a “good place to work” for our people, which are driven by an open-source mindset as well as a strong community- and customer-focus.

Your impact
- Own deepsets talent management strategy through the elaboration and execution of derived talent acquisition, people operations & talent development strategies
- Hands-on involvement in talent processes
- Support and professionalize our people’s journey in deepset, i.e., develop operational and strategic talent acquisition, people operations, and talent development processes, taking into account current market trends
- Responsible for employer branding activities. Develop our employee value proposition, identifying ways of differentiating deepset as an employer in terms of our culture, career development opportunities, compensation, and benefits
- Introduce talent development concepts (e.g. career framework and path, learning platforms, communication tools as well as leadership concepts)
- Develop KPIs and data-driven reports and adapt talent strategies accordingly
- Act as a business partner and consultant by advising executives in all topics related to talent
- Manage the talent & culture team, external stakeholders, and further continue growing the team (i.e., people operations, talent development)
- Scale and foster deepset’s remote first culture
Your profile
- 7+ years experience in a strategic talent role as an HR generalist, managing most or all stages of the hiring and people development process, preferably in a startup
- 2+ years experience in leading teams
- Experience in talent acquisition is required including substantial network to (technical) talent pools
- Understanding of the software development employment market and landscape
- Excellent communication skills; able to clearly articulate what makes a role compelling or unique
- Independent, determined, entrepreneurial, and hands-on attitude with data-informed decision-making approach
- Well organized and conscientious
- Experience working with modern HR management and ATS tools
- Interest in open source and Natural Language Processing, and a good general understanding of technology and software development processes is a plus
