We aim to focus on solutions not problems and are always looking for ways to improve our processes - within our team and business-wide.

What you'll do

As our Technical Support Engineer you will be responsible for our company productivity hardware and software, including all laptops and devices. You’ll help develop our internal IT processes, be responsible for the budget to buy the hardware and software as required, and also be accountable for ensuring colleagues technology works as expected.

The below is a guideline of skills that we think would make you successful in this role. However, our hiring process is much more around aptitude and passion so don’t worry if you’ve not used a particular tool or checked off all the skills and experience listed above.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Have plenty of experience with IT support as an Analyst or Technician
  • Have experience supporting Mac or Windows devices remotely, using enterprise device management tools such as Jamf and InTune
  • Are an ambitious doer who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty
  • Know what it takes to make sure a busy office has the right technology
  • Understand that life is better when things just work smoothly
  • Are passionate about developing your role and taking more responsibility as you gain experience

Your colleagues say you:

  • Are diligent and passionate about offering the best support to your colleagues
  • Are organised and proactive with great attention to detail
  • Care about people and love helping them above everything else
  • Don’t get flustered easily

Things we’ve been working on recently (and you’ll likely be working on too):

  • Smooth delivery of hardware and software for our colleagues, particularly new starters
  • Providing a first class support service for our colleagues experiencing tech issues
  • Maintaining a robust knowledge base on processes and systems to allow for knowledge sharing across the team and wider company
  • Integration of our various systems and platforms to allow for automation as well as to reduce effort and risk

What we offer

We provide a friendly and stimulating environment for everyone to grow, learn and thrive. Our working environment is a hybrid of remote and office-based operation and we encourage a flexible way of working to adapt to personal circumstances and individual and business needs.

Our budget for this role is £35,000 - £42,000 and we will take into account your previous experience and location of work when agreeing on the final offer.

We offer all our employees stock options and we will pay into your pension monthly. We've also built a benefits package that invests in our employees’ long-term personal and professional growth and wellbeing. Here’s a sample of what this includes:

  • 30 days of holiday annually in addition to bank holidays
  • Private healthcare scheme for you and your family
  • Life Insurance
  • 13 weeks full pay parental leave regardless of your gender
  • Flexibility to choose your own place of work (UK only) and flexible working hours
  • Annual training allowance (no questions asked) and regular learning opportunities
  • Monthly flexible wellbeing allowance to help you stay healthy and productive

It goes without saying that we provide everyone with a laptop, monitor, top of the range kit and any software you need.

Where possible, we will do our best to cross-train and/or focus on what interests you, whether it’s working towards a leadership role in the future, expanding your role to security and compliance, or learning about DevOps.

We are based in beautiful Brighton - sea, chips and seagulls included, although we are currently working 100% remotely. Post-pandemic we will likely be transitioning to a hybrid office and home-based model with travel to the office once or twice a week as required.
