The Role – UK Sales Development Representative Manager

As our UK Sales Development Representative Manager, you will be responsible for leading the growing Sales Development team so that we consistently create opportunities with prospective clients all over the world, thus directly impacting our ability to deliver on our mission; to improve the mental well-being of ten million people.

We’re looking for someone who is extremely passionate about delivering the best customer experience, unwaveringly candid, and exceptionally driven. If you’re a highly ambitious, personable problem-solver, then this is an opportunity to oversee all-things Sales Development at a fast-growth, high-impact startup.

As we continue to scale quickly, the focus and responsibilities of any position can be quite dynamic – but here’s how we initially see your skills and passion coming to life at Unmind:

  • Lead: Our high performing team will be looking to you to set the standard when it comes to everything from work ethic, to work-life balance and how you carry yourself both personally and professionally. As such, we expect that you must lead by example, embodying the Unmind values, even when no one is watching.
  • Build: Help deliver a Sales Development strategy that will enable us to scale successfully, in a way that authentically aligns with our mission, vision, purpose, and values. This includes everything from hiring, and onboarding, to incentives, career development and ongoing training.
  • Coach: Ensure that our existing Sales Development team and future hires have everything they need to thrive and develop. This team is not only the nurturing ground for those who want to progress into our broader sales and marketing team, but given the invaluable transferable skills that they will acquire, it will also act as the launch pad into other departments within Unmind.
  • Develop: Create playbooks that clearly articulate best practices for building a world-class demand generation engine, ensuring operational and performance excellence across all inbound and outbound activities.
  • Execute: Motivate, coach and mentor the SDRs, whilst holding the team accountable for their targets. Work with the wider Demand Generation team to execute our lead generation and ABM strategy.
  • Collaborate: Create close working relationships with people across the business, with a particular focus on content and product marketing, to continually hone our messaging for both inbound and outbound communications.
  • Learn: Become an expert on the HR and corporate wellbeing landscape across the globe and utilise market insights to advise our go-to-market teams on segmentation, use cases, buyer personas, and potential partnerships.

Skills and Experience

We firmly believe that no one is the finished article and that there should be learning in every role you do. So some of the roles will be learning as you go, and we hope that’s exactly what you are looking for. However, experience in the following is important for the role.

  • Prior experience as a Sales Development Representative with a proven track record of exceeding personal targets, whilst successfully building and developing sales processes.
  • Experience within a B2B SaaS environment and/or HR Tech.
  • Consistently shown to develop team members, ensuring their internal progression into the broader sales team, as well as internal teams outside sales (e.g. Client Success, Marketing etc).
  • Strong experience working with relevant Sales Development technology platforms (such as Hubspot, SFDC, Outreach.io, Discover.org, ZoomInfo, Drift etc)
  • Articulate communicator, both verbal and written– with the confidence to challenge the status quo internally.
  • An analytical thinker who can use both quantitative and qualitative feedback to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to forge and build cross-functional relationships at all levels across the business.
  • Confident and authoritative, but never perceived as arrogant.
  • Comfortable working in an environment of rapid growth, constant change, and lots of unknowns.
  • Hungry to make Unmind the global category leader within workplace mental health.
  • A genuine and great human. We have built a special team and want to keep it that way.
