Salary: Basic £22,000 - 25,000 (OTE £35,000)

We currently have an opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join the commercial team,

This role supports the Commercial Manager in generating new opportunities and growing the prospect list. You will work with a mixture of inbound leads from marketing campaigns and leads from supplied lists as well as those arising from your own research and self motivated activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Build a good understanding of each new prospect.
  • Proactively prospect to identify a strong pipeline of new business.
  • Build strong personal relationships with new clients.
  • Build a clear understanding of the decision making process and key stakeholders for each new client.
  • Understand and demonstrate the value that our proposition provides to its clients.
  • Identify client needs and consult with them about the right product for their needs.
  • Manage opportunities throughout the new business sales cycle.
  • Identify new opportunities.
  • Deepen your product and market knowledge.
  • Manage your sales activity to meet all KPI’s and Revenue targets.
  • Ensure all clients activities are logged and opportunities updated.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience of business to business sales
  • High motivation and resilience
  • Strong open, pitch, objection handling and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build new relationships
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • A keen team player
  • Ability to work using your own initiative
  • A tenacious, driven working attitude
  • The ability to work to revenue targets and within a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with change, innovation and decision-making
  • Willingness to travel (UK only) to carry out face to face meetings if required

Additional helpful qualities, skills and experience

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Confident consulting with senior level decision makers
  • Pipeline management, ensuring a mix of types and pace of sale
  • Demonstrate a structured solution based sales approach
  • A genuine interest in digital marketing strategy, content marketing and website best practice
