Responsibilities

The Support Product Manager role is a mixture of Product Management, Project Management and Support Desk Management for our clients currently in support and maintenance. Our support model is not only reactive to issues with applications or their backend platform but also proactive for example to improve the applications, keep them up to date to meet store requirements or test against new operating systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage the support and maintenance of our clients’ products:

Support Desk Management (10%)

  • Manage support desk tickets for all clients

Project Management (45%)

  • Organise and prioritise the support team workload
  • Regularly update clients on progress
  • Reporting to clients and the wider company

Product Management (45%)

  • Own products on behalf of our support clients, keeping them relevant, cutting edge and exciting.
  • Become an expert on the client’s business and product strategy, evaluating them and if needs be, challenging them.
  • Structure and articulate the client’s requirements so that they can be clearly understood by both the client and our team, ensuring an outstanding user experience and focussing on measurable business success.
  • Support pitching and strategy for new clients, in addition to contributing to the ongoing growth and relationships of our existing clients.

Must have requirements

  • Experience in Product Management or Project/Account Management with an interest in moving to a more Product role.
  • Experience of working in the technology industry with knowledge of mobile applications, web technologies, backend APIs and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
  • Highly organised with an ability to think on your feet
  • Confident in highlighting issues to clients, suggesting improvements and recommending change
  • Familiarity with Jira or equivalent for support tickets and task management.
  • Experience of building and fostering long-term business relationships at all levels.
  • Empathy for clients leading change and innovation in big companies.
  • A passion for product innovation, design and development.
