Job Description
At Oppl, we're building the next-gen platform for financial data. Our product has already won clients like WisdomTree and Trading 212 and now we're scaling our early-stage team.
We’re looking for senior backend engineers to help create the world’s leading solution for financial data. You'll be one of the first engineers on the team, with a great deal of autonomy. You'll spearhead our tech culture and product architecture, reporting directly into our co-founder and CPO.
The role is remote, but it's necessary to be in a similar timezone to the UK.
You’ll spend your time:
- Building our data flows to consume and output financial data of all kinds
- Ensuring we build an infrastructure to scale to hundreds of business clients
- Building a robust backend for our web application product
Requirements
- 5 years of experience building data pipelines or platforms
- Deep experience with SQL and relational databases
- Our current stack is built around PHP, VB.NET and SQL; however, you will guide how we build for the future
- Experience building a flexible API
- Expertise on data infrastructure
- Some professional or personal experience with financial markets
Great to have
- Interest in the financial data space
- Experience with building scalable web applications
