About the role:

We’re looking for a motivated and versatile Field Marketing Manager who is hungry to give the travel industry a wake-up call. Impala’s new tech is shaking up the travel tech space: we’re going to be making a lot of noise, and we need the right person to join our team to develop compelling multi-touch campaigns that support our customer acquisition goals.

Events will be one of the core pillars of this role and an acquisition channel for us. We’re looking for a strategic and innovative thinker who can use their own experience, ideas and problem-solving skills to lead an exceptional events program.

Working with external travel associations and other groups to lead co-branded activity, and promote the Impala brand will also be key.

You’ll need to be comfortable with broad day-to-day marketing activities, thriving with tight deadlines and changing needs. If you are a people-person who loves the rewarding challenge of building a brand, we want to hear from you.

Impala is a startup, so you shouldn’t be afraid of rolling up your sleeves. Here are the types of you will be responsible for:

  • Design and execute our global event strategy - decide where and how we should show up both at offline events as well as online.
  • Manage the sponsorship and attendance of major industry trade shows and conferences, incl—booth design, collateral, speaking engagements, promotions etc.
  • Use events to add leads to the sales pipeline, move leads through the funnel and foster customer relationships.
  • Design brand campaigns, such as customer webinars and summits to increase the adoption of Impala.
  • Build triggered campaigns and in life programmes across Impala to deepen our relationship with hotels and room sellers.
  • Track and analyse all campaigns with weekly reporting and provide recommendations based on customer trends and behaviour.
  • Collaborate with sales to ensure timely and successful follow-up of leads.
  • Collaborate with partner companies on joint event projects, such as sponsored or co-branded seminars, networking events and webinars.
  • Project manage campaigns from insight to deployment working collaboratively with the rest of the marketing team to ensure campaign performance.
  • Support geo-specific sales land-and-expand campaigns through the use of a mix of targeted activities.

  • A self-starter, comfortable with working in a fast-paced, 'let's do it' environment
  • Experienced in creating and owning an events programme.
  • Strategically minded with 5+ years of experience, but happy to deliver tactical tasks with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive in ideation and enjoys testing new concepts.
  • Experienced in managing agencies.
  • Ideally experience working in travel, essential a passion for travel
