Job Description

TrueLayer’s People team is responsible for attracting, engaging and developing some of the best talent from around the world. We're heading into a period of ambitious scaling across multiple new markets, and to succeed in that mission we need a world class People Operations Leader.

We’re looking for someone that has a passion for people, process & infrastructure which can help the entire company operate faster, more efficiently and more effectively. You will help us deliver the tech infrastructure, processes and programs that support our employees across all our markets. You’ll implement the tools and systems that we need and lead on which People policies will make us a world class organisation. Scale will be front of mind for this role - you’ll hire and then lead a stellar team that builds the People infrastructure that will support TrueLayer as we scale at breakneck speed across several markets and continents.

Who we are:

At TrueLayer, we’re building a global open banking platform that’s changing how money moves and so much more. We make payments and refunds instant, account data accessible and verification seamless — all so innovators in every industry can build better financial experiences for their users.

To date, we’ve raised $270 million from world-renowned investors including Stripe, Tiger Global, Addition and Tencent. We’ve got offices in London, Milan, Dublin and Sydney. And we’re trusted by industry leaders like Revolut, Cazoo and Trading 212… though we’re not stopping here.

Our vision is a financial system that works for everyone. To make that happen, we’re creating original and innovative products that will remove the friction from finance for good. We’re seriously scaling our infrastructure, we’re entering new territories all the time, we’re cornering a whole new category — and we’d like your help to get us there.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll be selecting, implementing and driving the use of the best people tools in the market to support the entire employee lifecycle. You’ll be relentless in harnessing data and presenting the insights on your plans.
  • You will create the framework for driving consistency across multiple locations, whilst recognising when this needs to flex due to local cultures and legislative differences
  • You will oversee all employee life cycle management processes such as onboarding, offboarding, performance management and reward cycles in order to deliver a first class employee experience. And you’ll own our real-estate strategy, too.
  • Ensure People Operations strategies and processes remain aligned with our talent management and business goals.
  • And along with your team, you’ll be working on a whole bunch of other things that you believe we could be doing better.

Requirements

What we expect from you:

  • You’ll be a natural leader, enriched by learnings from previous gigs and keen to do things differently. Your executive presence is palpable with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • You’ll have extensive experience of running People programs, operations and infrastructure at scale. For this role, it’s crucial that you’re, at heart, operationally driven.
  • But you’ll also be a strategic and innovative thinker; able to ruthlessly prioritize on our ambitious roadmap.
  • A natural relationship-builder, you’ll develop highly effective partnerships across all levels.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and backbone - you don’t hesitate to challenge the status quo.
  • Very solid analytical skills. If the data doesn’t support it; we won’t do it.

Benefits

What you can expect from us:

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity in the company 💰
  • Flexible hours ⌛ and remote work 🏡
  • Brand new MacBook Pro 💻
  • A remote-working stipend to help set up your home office 💺
  • Flexible holiday policy ✈️
  • Generous parental leave 👩‍👩‍👦
  • Enhanced pension contribution at 4% & 4% 👵🏽 👴🏽
  • Private Health Insurance 🧑🏽‍⚕️
  • 12 fully-paid Wellbeing Days a year (on top of the holiday allowance) 🕊️
  • Membership of mental wellbeing platform Spill 🧘🏽‍♀️
  • Learning & development allowance 📚
