Job Description
TrueLayer’s IT team is central to the smooth operation of engineering and non-technical teams’ day-to-day activities. As a rapidly growing organisation the IT team works closely with all parts of the business providing support, on-boarding/off-boarding, ordering additional equipment and licenses as required and organising repairs to equipment.
As part of this growth, we’re looking for an experienced hands-on IT Service Lead who is eager to take on the challenge of managing our team of IT Engineers, overseeing the day to day support to our user base and the onboarding and offboarding of staff.
In return, we’ll give you the opportunity to learn from a world-class team and work with the latest tools and technologies. The work we do will have a fundamental impact on the efficient day to day running of the business and empower our people to deliver the new era of financial technology.
Who we are:
At TrueLayer, we’re building a global open banking platform that’s changing how money moves and so much more. We make payments and refunds instant, account data accessible and verification seamless — all so innovators in every industry can build better financial experiences for their users.
To date, we’ve raised $270 million from world-renowned investors including Stripe, Tiger Global, Addition and Tencent. We’ve got offices in London, Milan, Dublin and Sydney. And we’re trusted by industry leaders like Revolut, Cazoo and Trading 212… though we’re not stopping here.
Our vision is a financial system that works for everyone. To make that happen, we’re creating original and innovative products that will remove the friction from finance for good. We’re seriously scaling our infrastructure, we’re entering new territories all the time, we’re cornering a whole new category — and we’d like your help to get us there.
As our IT Service Lead, you will:
- Primarily manage and grow the IT Engineer team, of which there are currently two members, and IT support to all members of staff, technical and non-technical via our Freshservice ticketing system.
- Own the Freshservice ticketing system, designing reports that provide visibility on our IT service.
- Oversee the IT onboarding experience of new joiners at Truelayer, as well as streamlining the offboarding of leavers.
- Assist with IT Procurement - negotiating prices with vendors, tracking the purchasing of laptops, software licences(installed and SaaS), peripherals and other hardware.
- Be hands-on, stepping in to cover your team and support Truelayer staff when necessary.
- Help support our IT equipment and infrastructure at our offices (e.g. meeting room AV, printer/scanners, WiFi network), being onsite when required.
- Keep our documentation up-to-date and add new documents when necessary to provide guidance to end-users and the IT Engineers.
- Be expected to work from the office a minimum of two days per week and cover your team when needed
