Fast forward to today, we’re known as the team behind the award-winning VR App FitXR which is one of the top-selling games on the Oculus and Steam stores. In 2020, we raised a $7.5 million Series A which has enabled us to scale, be on track to hit 1M downloads by the end of 2021, and change even more people's lives through virtual reality fitness.

As a Content Marketing Manager, reporting to our Director of Community + Social, you will be responsible for all written communications at FitXR. You will own the content production process end to end and help ensure consistency of tone of voice across the business by utilizing a range of channels such as email, blog, and social media. This role is very much a mixture of strategy and implementation, so if you are an empathetic storyteller who understands the importance of community, we want to hear from you 🗣️
Requirements
What you’ll do 👀
- Responsible for content strategy across email marketing, blog, social media, and various other channels to help us communicate effectively with our audience
- Help to set + roll out our new tone of voice and ensure consistency of tone of voice across the business
- Contribute to building a content marketing strategy that delivers on our values
- Own customer storytelling initiatives across the blog, weekly email, and social media
- Ensure our release notes are fun and engaging
- Blog content for product and market education
- Sit within the Community team but work cross-functionally with other departments (e.g. product, creative…) when necessary
Requirements
You should apply if ✅
- You have worked in a similar role before at the mid-senior level
- You’ve written extensively for consumer apps or health/fitness brands
- Your writing process starts with questions: Who is this for? Why should they care? How do I respect their time?
- You’re relentlessly customer-focused in your approach to content writing and content strategy
- You’re comfortable owning the process from strategy, ideation, and planning through to execution and delivery
- You’re excited by the idea of making fitness fun and accessible for everyone and enabling people to reclaim their relationship with their bodies
- You like taking an active role in determining your workload: not just waiting around for tasks to be assigned
Desired skills
- Previous experience working as part of a broader content marketing function for a well-being consumer app
- Experience with email marketing specifically and keyword research/SEO
