Mission for the role...

  • Responsibility for our internal IT infrastructure; critically important as we scale rapidly. You’ll have the opportunity to shape and build this role during a very exciting time for the business in this hands-on stand alone role.
  • Own and manage software and hardware across the business, including:
    • administration and maintenance of existing software and hardware;
    • working with business leads and Central Operations team on the implementation of new software and IT tooling;
    • improve utilisation and cost-efficiency of existing software and hardware (working with other key members of the team including Operations Manager)
    • Audit and refine existing key business tooling, such as Google Workspace, 1Password, etc. to optimise use

Your focus will be on...

  • Lead on the assessment and implementation of critical IT and security practices, including mobile device management, documented access controls and procedures, firewalls, anti-virus, MFA across all systems, etc.
  • Own and manage all IT onboarding and offboarding of employees, contractors and other personnel, as well as in-life training and management of adoption of key IT and information security systems and processes
  • Be the first-line support for the business on all IT support queries, creating a system for rapid responses to support teams across the business
  • Support the Central Operations team with third party onboarding and assessments (both customer and supplier sides), including completing third party supplier questionnaires and assessments of proposed new software, as well as automating and standardising such processes across the business
  • Working with Legal to develop and maintain compliance, including contributing to and, where relevant, owning policies and procedures relating to information technology and security, as well as creating documented security baselines for equipment and software, such as business wide principles of least access to tooling
  • Opportunities to work across projects such as developing a bug bounty program, applying for internationally recognised information security accreditations, designing security awareness training programs for the business (phishing simulations, etc.) and much more.

We'd love to speak to you if...

  • You have experience of working alongside the adoption of an established information security framework, e.g. ISO 27001, NIST standards, etc.
  • You are enthusiastic about a modern approach to IT operations, including enabling developers autonomy over infrastructure and operating in a way that enables velocity and speed of growth
  • You have experience of Implementation, management and audit of multiple SaaS platforms
  • You have experience working in a rapid growth startup/scaleup environment
  • You have experience working cross-functionally to achieve IT outcomes, in particular with Operations and Legal teams
