FitXR is on a mission to make fitness fun and accessible to all. We're a fitness technology company working at the cutting edge of virtual reality. We started life in a garden shed in the UK. Fast forward to today, we’re known as the team behind the award-winning VR App FitXR which is one of the top-selling games on the Oculus and Steam stores. In 2020 we raised a $7.5 million Series A plus a $1.5 million grant from Oculus. This has enabled us to scale, be on track to hit 1M downloads by the end of 2021 and change even more people's lives through virtual reality fitness.

We are looking for an experienced Director of Music Licensing to join our global licensing and partnerships team leading in our efforts for world-class music activations and soundtracks procurement for usage in our service, in-app and marketing content.
What you’ll do 👀
- You will be coordinating and communicating with our Fitness, product and data teams to align on musical needs for our service, including soundtracks for classes, tutorials, social media content and marketing and form our music licensing strategy
- You will regularly track and report on the performance of music procured against data analysis models and monitor trends in key business KPIs, providing valuable insights to relevant departments for overall business performance improvement.
- Securing quotes for synchronization and catalogues of music for marketing trailers, in-content soundtracks and social media promotion
- Research on rights holders for music to be considered for use in our initiatives
- Review of agreements and licenses
- Tracking services of music across all in-game and external marketing
- Coordination and preparation of music agreements with both internal and external legal team
- Reporting on status of license, as well as rights, fees, and terms in place on all music licenses
Requirements
You should apply if ✅
- Demonstrable success in a music licensing role
- Excellent negotiations and communication skills
- An extensive list of contacts in the worldwide Music industry
- Thorough understanding of music licensing and sync contracts
- Excellent knowledge of the industry, current trends and opportunities
- Current and extensive knowledge of the musical landscape of artists, labels, and music industry business standards and practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A well-built initiative and “self-starter’s” mentality
- Flexibility and adaptability to a constantly changing environment
- Experience working with a digital fitness or a digital wellness service
- Data-driven and results-focused

- Founder / Exec Interview
