This role is allocated by the DWP Kickstart Scheme and is only available to those on Universal Credit, aged between 16-24.

We are looking for a committed and reliable assistant to join our fast-growing team as part of the Kickstart Scheme on a 6-month contract.

For this role, you will need excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be working within the Marketing team to ensure the efficient running of the business.

As a Digital Marketing Assistant, you will support the Marketing Manager with a broad range of both online and offline marketing across the business. As a Digital Marketing Assistant you will be involved in the following;

● Supporting the Marketing Manager with the full marketing mix

● Helping to manage marketing campaigns

● Review copy/ content for the website and consolidate all materials into one place

● Helping to produce brochures - on-line & off-line

● Conducting competitor research

What will I learn?

• Teamwork due to the collaborative nature of content creation
• Learning from start to finish how content is created and published
• Sharpening communication skills – written and verbal
• Understanding how aspects of technical marketing (such as search engine optimisation) fit into content creation
• Experience of working in a small business, developing teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills and building confidence in the workplace
• Understand the role of the marketing manager and what a marketing campaign is
• Be able to set up a campaign on Salesforce
• Be able to set up a campaign on LinkedIn
• Understand the role of a Sales Development Representative and what they do

Who is the Marketing Team?

The Marketing team supports the sales and customer success teams by creating marketing campaigns that help the sales teams to connect with potential customers. This usually takes the form of creating a piece of content - a thought leadership article, blogpost or podcast and then creating a marketing campaign around it which we promote via online advertising. Potential new clients see and read the content and often then contact us to find out more information. This is when we are able to start talking to them about the products and services we have to offer.

How can we work together?

If you’re interested in marketing we can help you get a really good insight into marketing and how it works with the rest of the business. As our Kickstarter you will be shadowing one of the marketing managers and learning how they create campaigns. You will also have the opportunity to shadow our sales development representatives to understand their role.
