ABOUT THE ROLE

Goodlord’s mission is to provide the best renting experience in the world and we’re on the hunt for a Group People Operations Manager, to help us achieve this.

No two days are ever the same at Goodlord so what you’ll be up to will vary. The pace we move at also means priorities will change and you’ll need to be comfortable with this (we’ll support you!). But these are the things that will be core to your role and will keep you busy.

  • Manage our People Ops Team which currently includes our Employee Experience, Workplace & IT, Office & Engagement and Payroll & Systems Executives. (4 people currently)
  • Ensure the smooth running of People Operations, including HRIS administration, Payroll, onboarding/offboarding and monthly metrics. In delivering this you will be excited to seek and implement constant improvements.
  • Ensure strong service delivery within People Ops function and manage the People Ops Budget
  • Oversee all Office related activities including socials, remote working, Health & Safety & ensuring our teams have the right equipment to do their best work
  • Oversee our People Development programmes including our L&D personal budget, manager toolkit & webinars.
  • Proactively streamline processes and systems to improve ways of working and make them more efficient & scalable as our business grows
  • Complete compliance audits to ensure we have all relevant employee documents and systems are maintained and accurate
  • Support the People Partners and Talent Team with policy/process creation and roll out
  • Support with providing data for the team and managers on team engagement, time off, pay & any other ad hoc requests

*Please note that this role is primarily based in our London HQ, E1 (3-4 days per week) plus monthly travel to our Sheffield office (paid). Although of course working remotely/at home 1-2 days a week is fully supported*ABOUT YOU:

The knowledge and skills you’ll need to be successful in this role.

  • Experience in people management & leadership (can be a singular member or a team) and you enjoy it!
  • Experience in a payroll role before (basic understanding of tax/final payments/benefits such as cycle to work) in a People/HR team.
  • You are process driven, you love to create, implement and improve processes and have demonstrable experience of doing so.
  • You’ve got an eye for detail and care about getting things done well.
  • You have great EQ, and are approachable and a ‘people person’
  • Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills and you love it!

And it would be super great if you have:

  • Experience using GSuite
  • Completed or are working towards your CIPD, or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a scale-up environment and enjoy the challenges that come with it

We started Goodlord because we wanted to make renting simple and transparent for everyone involved: the agent, landlord and tenant. We knew generation rent would lead to more tenants, with higher digital expectations and we were confident we could provide a solution.
