Freelance Sub-Editor – Dutch (Product/Operational)

Job Description
Reporting to the Content Lead – Dutch, you will be responsible for sub-editing operational content and product descriptions transcreated and localised by our team of writers. You will ensure that our copy is customer-centric and tailored across all Farfetch channels, whilst capturing and protecting the Farfetch tone of voice. This role is a full-time position. You will benefit from working with a large multi-lingual team of around 120+ employees within Farfetch, which will present unique opportunities to work with many departments and to learn cutting-edge localisation tools and solutions.
What You'll Do:
- You will sub-edit and proof operational content such as transactional emails, UX copy, partner training materials, product descriptions including brand names, category names, size & fit information and other localised content
- You will work with our core team members and ensure all copy follows our Tone of Voice and Style Guide across all channels
- You will ensure all content reaches our quality standard
- You will establish routines and standards for the team, including reporting, feedback and other quality checks
- You will be responsible for evolving the language within the business
- You will deliver copy audits and key projects
Who You Are:
- You are proficient writing in Dutch and have a good level of fluency in English
- You have a firm understanding of tone of voice, with an ability to adapt style to suit specific context
- You have impeccable grammar, spelling and punctuation
- You have good knowledge of the luxury fashion e-commerce landscape in The Netherlands, its players and its consumers
- Ideally, you have experience within a translation, copywriting and editorial role or are a linguistics graduate with a passion to move their career into fashion
- You are comfortable with digital work on an in-house CMS
