Job Description

We believe in a future where exercise everywhere - whether that is the gym, the park or at home - is enhanced through engaging technology that extends your reality.

To achieve this vision we are first building the world’s first virtual gym. We started life in a garden shed in Woking. Today, we’re known as the team behind the award-winning VR App FitXR, one of the top-selling games and fitness apps on the Oculus and Steam stores. We have big plans for the future, and our growing team of developers, marketers and fitness gurus are working to create some truly iconic games to show that staying fit and having fun are not mutually exclusive.

As our People Experience Manager, you will be our champion for exceptional experience throughout the end-to-end employee lifecycle and be responsible for shaping a truly inclusive, engaging and connected remote-first workplace. This will include managing and delivering on a variety of projects relating to all aspects of employee engagement, culture activities, internal communications, employer brand and ensuring that our company (like our product) is accessible and fun for everyone.

Responsibilities:

  • Owning our internal communications strategy and delivery, including tone of voice, company announcements and internal newsletters, to ensure clarity, empathy and accessibility in all communications.
  • Own our 12 month EDI (equity, diversity and inclusion) plan, taking an active role in leading and project managing our EDI Committee to deliver on initiatives, as well as supporting our Talent Acquisition Manager to champion a more diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Own and build our approach to a remote-first work culture, ensuring inclusivity in all aspects of the employee experience including communication, culture and initiatives.
  • Project manage cross-functional groups of key internal stakeholders and (where needed) external partners to deliver on people experience initiatives, such as Employer Brand strategy and content creation, and development of our internal Single Source of Truth (SSOT) on Confluence.
  • Own our global events calendar, working with the Operations Executive to deliver company-wide engagement initiatives including team socials, activities, summits and more throughout the year.
  • Work with our People and Culture Manager to build channels for our people to provide insights and feedback on their experience, through regular check-ins, pulse surveys and engagement surveys.
  • Continually research, review, challenge and improve existing ways of working and processes, to ultimately build a scalable, forward-thinking workplace that engages and delights our people.

Requirements

  • Passion and drive for creating and delivering an exceptional and inclusive employee experience
  • Experience owning and delivering on diversity and inclusion initiatives and plans
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with ease
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication in English (additional languages desirable)
  • Proactivity and desire for continual improvements

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with Google suite and internal collaboration tools

What you’ll experience

  • Autonomy to lead on our Employer Brand and internal communications strategy, working closely with our VP of Communications and external partners
  • Commitment and championing of your work from leaders and colleagues
  • Ability to shape new initiatives across the company
  • Opportunity to influence the culture of the company and the experience of our people
  • Ownership of projects from conception through to completion

What you’ll be measured on

  • Maintaining or increasing our company engagement scores, measured by our culture survey, team surveys and review periods
  • Increasing our inclusion and belonging scores, measured by our EDI survey
  • Delivery of new initiatives that add value to our people and the company

Our Principles of Play (aka Company Values)

  • Commitment - We are joined in our mission and support and motivate each other to achieve great things.
  • Independence - We’ll leave it up to you to use your own judgment and do your job the way you know best.
  • Open-Mindedness - We continually question the status quo
  • Communication - Effective communication is crucial to our success
  • Respect - We listen to and learn from each other, and recognise how our own beliefs and actions affect the wider team.

The FlexScore® is the result of a rigorous 2-step verification of a company’s flexibility

First we assess the flexibility options FitXR provides and then we anonymously survey a statistically significant proportion of their employees to make sure FitXR is as flexible as they say they are. Our assessment is based on the six key elements of flexibility: location, hours, autonomy, benefits, role modelling and work-life balance.

We ask the hard questions so you don’t have to.
