Today, we’re known as the team behind the award-winning VR App FitXR, one of the top-selling games on the Oculus and Steam stores. We have big plans for the future, and our growing team of developers, marketers and fitness gurus are working to create some truly iconic games to show that staying fit and having fun are not mutually exclusive.

As the Director of Data and Insights, you will be responsible for leading our team of data scientists and analysts, providing useful insights to all functions in the company out of raw data and trends, and helping improve our products and business decisions by making the most out of our data assets and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting and retaining a fit for purpose data science and analytics team, cognizant of our future objectives, roadmap and desired milestones
  • Produce meaningful analyses and insight through summaries, reports and presentations that will address business issues, with a focus on product and marketing performance
  • Collect rich product and marketing data to measure business performance
  • Provide fact-based data and insight to all business processes
  • Conceiving, planning and prioritizing data projects
  • Defining and Communicating the data and analytics strategy and areas of complexity with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Implementing industry leading methodologies and standards in our data practices
  • Advising the Leadership team and CEO on considerations for business strategies where relevant
  • Staying up to date with the latest developments in data practices related to our product and service
  • Ensuring data quality and integrity at all times
  • Improve analytical tools and the company’s data strategies
  • Spearhead automation of reports and dashboards
  • Provide information about behaviours, trends and segments of the customer base

What you’ll experience

  • You will work closely with all key business and product units including the Executive team, Product Live Operations, Product and Marketing to provide insights from product data and market trends
  • You will enable the product and marketing team to run meaningful tests in order to evaluate changes in the product/services.
  • You will regularly track and report on the business’s performance against data analysis models and monitor trends in key business KPIs, providing valuable insights to relevant departments for overall business performance improvement.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive understanding of the subscription model including an ability to model LTV, growth and retention cohorts.
  • An ability to go beyond what the data shows in providing strategic and actionable options to address key potential areas of improvements in line with overall company KPIs.
  • Strong SQL, R or Python skills.
  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or similar field
  • Must be an astute, results-oriented, visionary leader with a history of achieving organisational objectives in competitive markets
  • Demonstrate effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience as a Head of Data Science, Analytics, Insights , Senior Data Scientist or similar role
  • Solid understanding of machine learning
  • Expert knowledge of data management and visualisation techniques
  • Strong passion for fitness and gaming
