CREATIVE OPERATIONS
We're a creative family, building copy, data and visual assets for each corner of the FARFETCH Ecommerce Platform. We are dedicated to providing gold standard imagery, content and production services for our partners and creating an engaging on-site experience for our customers.
LONDON
Our London office is located in Old Street, London's tech hub, and is home to a broad range of teams including Commercial, Marketing, and Product. Our open plan space is ideal for collaborative working and sharing ideas, or you can enjoy some quiet time in our dedicated library. We also have a large outdoor terrace which is the perfect spot to have a team lunch or host events.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior FPS Linguistic Services Supervisor, you will support an AI-based localisation project post-editing machine translated content for a globally recognised luxury department store. You will work with a dedicated Chinese localisation team and a Translations Project Manager to ensure all content output is optimised for local search engines. Flexibility and a collaborative attitude are very important for this new role. You will have some experience working in an environment which is fast-paced and deadline driven. Ideally this would have been within an SEO executive role, but a translator or linguistic with a solid understanding of SEO and a passion to move their career into fashion and lifestyle will also be considered
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- You will perform local market keyword research and own content optimisation initiatives
- You will post-edit and enrich machine translated listing descriptions, meta data and editorial content with SEO keywords
- You will support with maintaining high-quality and keyword-based translations memories
- You will work as part of a dedicated Chinese localisation team, following brand guidelines and ensuring tone of voice is kept consistent across all content verticals
- You will establish routines and standards with the team, including reporting, feedback and other quality checks
WHO YOU ARE
- Native Mandarin speaker
- Fluent in English
- Good knowledge of local market search engines and optimisation strategies
- Experience working with keyword research tools
- Expert knowledge of luxury fashion and lifestyle brands and products
- You have a great writing style that is accurate, with an impeccable use of grammar, syntax and cultural references
- You have good knowledge of the luxury fashion e-commerce landscape in China, its players and its consumers
- You are comfortable with digital work on an in-house CMS and have experience working with translation management systems
