The focus of your role:
As a Technical Delivery Manager you will be working for Comma Group, on client projects to plan and execute criteria for go-live. You will deal directly with the Client and our internal project team throughout the engagement. Your main objective will be to ensure all critical tasks and resource dependencies are identified and related risks are assessed, communicated, prioritised and managed.
What you’ll do:
- Track whether all aspects of the solution have passed acceptance criteria for go-live.
- Lead the Operational Readiness workstream including:
- Support Model and SLAs are signed off.
- Support resources and ready and trained.
- Monitoring is in place.
- Production environment readiness incl. failover and DR.
- Necessary documentation provided.
- Understand the open issues and their production impact. Define the go-live criteria for open defects.
- Provide solution readiness statements.
- Responsible for defining the solution baseline for go-live.
- Management of end-to-end deployment across CuRe including source systems.
- Control the deployment of all changes into test and production environments.
- Understand the nature of the changes and can describe impact to Test Manager.
- Manage the deployment of infrastructure and software into all environments. Coordinate the activities of infrastructure engineers and systems administrators to ensure timely deployment.
- Creation of the Deployment Plan:
- Interpret performance test results.
- Negotiate downtime.
- Ensure resources are in place and rollout roles understood.
- Identify cross-system dependencies.
- Identify deployment risks and mitigation actions.
- Define rollback strategies.
- Chair GO governance meetings.
- Lead the cutover.
- Coordinate handover to support.
