We are looking for an Associate Compliance Officer, based in Brighton and currently remote. You’ll be working on a next gen commercial motor insurance platform expanding in the UK, US and the EU.

What you'll do

This position reports to the Head of Compliance and provides primarily compliance support to the UK based business and functions of INSHUR including:

  • Providing advice to the marketing teams on Financial Promotions and Advertising compliance requirements
  • Providing regulatory advice on Conduct Risk and Anti-Money Laundering best practice to the business,
  • Maintain a Compliance Policy Suite and identify updates when required
  • Support the Head of Compliance with our relationship with and reporting to the regulator and to our capacity partners.

The position provides challenging and rewarding opportunities to support a variety of business partners and to be involved in various aspects of the business.

The successful candidate will also be encouraged to develop and/or maintain industry trade association and other professional relationships and stay current on new or proposed regulatory compliance trends that may impact the business.

We'd love to hear from you if you have the following attributes/ qualifications/experience

  • Understanding of the FCA retail supervisory regime and AML/Financial crime legislation, with a background in Compliance or Risk preferable.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills, ramp quickly to new requirements and working towards CII IF1 or equivalent qualification.
  • Committed to getting things done, ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, maintain attention to detail, resolve issues, and work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment while working independently in determining the best path forward.
  • Ability to translate complex issues for consumption by technical and non-technical audiences at all levels.
