We are looking for a Communication and Community Manager here at INSHUR, pre-pandemic based in the UK, and currently 100% remote. You’ll be working on re-inventing insurance in exciting markets across multiple territories, including the US, UK and Netherlands, and new European countries and US states as we expand.

We are looking for a Communication and Community Manager here at INSHUR, pre-pandemic based in the UK, and currently 100% remote. You’ll be working on re-inventing insurance in exciting markets across multiple territories, including the US, UK and Netherlands, and new European countries and US states as we expand.

Supported by the Head of Growth marketing, you'll be joining a friendly team of 6 who believe in accelerating the growth of INSHUR worldwide by making ours the go-to brand and provider of choice for professional auto insurance.

What you'll do

As our Communication and Community Specialist you will help build and grow our communications and social media capabilities. You will be responsible for leading the charge on the comms to our drivers across all our markets and products, creating a strong cadence of content and managing our social media channels and activity as well as developing press and influencer relationships.

The projects that you will be involved in will be varied in scope, ranging from assisting with press/ media relations, managing all content requirements and writing regular content for the website, managing our social media channels, managing our driver panels to ensure we regularly get insights from our customers and helping build our brand by creating a clear narrative and story for INSHUR.

We don’t have a checklist of skills - our hiring process is much more around aptitude and passion so don’t worry if you’ve not used a particular tool or checked off all the skills and experience listed below.

That said, below is a guideline of skills for you to take a look at that we think would make you successful in this role.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Have strong writing skills and a real passion for producing engaging and innovative content
  • Are a “digital native” who enjoys using social media and continuously sourcing new content and format ideas - you know your way around running all social media activity for various social channels, creating a schedule of content and posting it; but also handling inbound conversations, ensuring that social media channels are kept up to date and driving engagement with the target audiences
  • Have some experience and a real interest in the “non-written” content formats such as video / podcast / webinars and are comfortable doing some light touch design yourself (experience of using tools such as InDesign or Canva) to create simple imagery as part of the social media content
  • Worked with a PR agency before and you have some experience briefing journalists, writing press releases and producing long and short-form content (press releases, content for the website, blogs and white papers, social media posts etc)
  • Have a good understanding of Financial promotions regulatory requirements (FCA guidelines) or prior experience of working in a regulated environment
