LEGAL
We are an award-winning full service in-house Legal, Ethics and Compliance function. We're based in the UK, Russia, Portugal, China, Italy, UAE and the US. We provide leadership and advice on strategic projects across all business units, whilst developing our role as an integrated partner within the business to make sure FARFETCH goes from strength to strength.
LONDON
Our London office is located in Old Street, London's tech hub, and is home to a broad range of teams including Commercial, Marketing, and Product. Our open plan space is ideal for collaborative working and sharing ideas, or you can enjoy some quiet time in our dedicated library. We also have a large outdoor terrace which is the perfect spot to have a team lunch or host events.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the VP Group Legal, the Head of Company Secretarial will be an expert with broad and deep experience of Co Sec in a listed company.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the approach to, and instil best practice in the Group's Corporate Governance framework, practices and processes
- Develop strategies to manage Co Sec risk and lead the production of such strategies
- Oversee the governance and management of all group entities
- Coordinate all Board and Committee processes
- Oversee preparation and process of General Meetings
- Create, and ensure compliance with, Co Sec polices and workflows
- Increase stakeholder engagement across Farfetch and overall profile of the Company Secretarial function
- You will develop and grow our team of Company Secretarial professionals
- You will work with external counsel, and manage the team's budget
WHO YOU ARE
- Either a Chartered Secretary (ACIS or FCIS) or an equivalent level of professional qualification and experience
- Is an expert in Secretarial and governance requirements and best practices
- Experience in a listed global business with a complex group structure and number of legal entities
- Experience in a NYSE or Nasdaq listed company desirable
- You have an excellent ability to grasp legal and business issues quickly, balance risks, exercise sound judgment and provide creative, practical, constructive and timely counsel in a growing, dynamic, and fast-paced business environment
- You are a team player who is motivated, with commercial acumen.
