 FINANCE 

We're a global team with a presence in all of our locations around the world. Our biggest teams are based in the UK and Portugal. Our team in Porto focuses on financial reporting and operations, while the Group Finance team in London is made up of Corporate Development, Tax, Treasury and Commercial Finance. All of our teams play an instrumental role within the business, from developing best practice, delivering strategic projects and helping us to tell our story with data.

 LONDON 

Our London office is located in Old Street, London's tech hub, and is home to a broad range of teams including Commercial, Marketing, and Product. Our open plan space is ideal for collaborative working and sharing ideas, or you can enjoy some quiet time in our dedicated library. We also have a large outdoor terrace which is the perfect spot to have a team lunch or host events.

 THE ROLE 

This is an exciting role for a Finance professional to drive the continued evolution of Commercial Finance, aiding decision making and alignment of two of our first party businesses. This is a varied role working with two of our business units to partner on the strategy planning and execution to our goals both in the short and long term. This role would suit someone who loves being involved in the detail of a multi-faceted business from end to end. It requires a large depth of knowledge across multiple channels and across the Group to enable the successful integration and performance of each business on a daily basis as well as managing P&L performance monthly, quarterly and annually too. This person will be solution oriented and an expert at adapting to an ambiguous and changing environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Take the lead with the Stadium Goods and NGG P&L and analysis of performance across all channels within the business unit
  • Lead and support on business unit trade meetings with the Farfetch Commercial Team
  • Get into the details of the business models to identify short and long term opportunities or risks and work with senior stakeholders to capitalise or mitigate
  • Work with central and local teams on month end, budget and forecasting processes, delivering into Group Commercial Finance and managing to appropriate targets and strategies
  • Business partner to multiple functions within the business, providing leverage between them where applicable and ensuring alignment of strategy and process both within the business units and across all relevant Group business units
  • Manage and develop a Junior Analyst, setting/measuring clear OKRs that are aligned to the Group Finance Team and individual development plan.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with PQE
  • Experience within retail, technology and e-Commerce businesses advantageous
  • You understand technical accounting concepts and can guide stakeholder commercial decision-making as a result
  • You can operate in ambiguous and changing situations to deliver on the right results
  • Ability to interact with those outside of the Finance teams to deliver preferred outcomes
  • You are comfortable managing a direct report and have a track record of setting/measuring OKRs and providing constructive, regular feedback
