11:FS is on a mission to change the fabric of financial services. Our Ventures practice builds challenger propositions globally, like we did for Natwest with Mettle. Our Pulse team creates a benchmarking tool used by the likes of Monzo, Starling, Natwest and Tesco Bank. Our Foundry team are delivering a Financial Services Operating System to help businesses quickly add financial services to their offering. On top of all of that, we’re a media company, our Growth team generate a stream of content that supports our brand and changes the conversation - not necessarily in that order.

Pulse is our next-generation competitor analysis platform. Used by many of the world’s leading banks and fintechs, Pulse is currently a searchable video library of thousands of user journeys and insights. It is used by product managers, researchers, and UX people who are designing many of the best financial products in the world.

As a UX research analyst within our Pulse team, you will utilise your UX skills and fintech knowledge to produce high-quality written analysis of financial products while assessing and publishing the analysis of others. A key focus of the role will be on producing longer format, editorial content, focussing on key fintech products and financial news. The position offers a great way to get into management while cultivating expertise within the fintech market.

Responsibilities

  • Utilising your experience in UX to conduct an expert analysis of financial apps and websites from all over the world
  • Develop a good understanding of the fintech market and specialising within a particular field, becoming the Pulse “expert” in a specific area of fintech
  • Contribute towards our weekly newsletter, writing about trending financial services/fintech topics (e.g. banking, blockchain/crypto, investing, insurance etc)
  • Benchmarking financial products' UX and features in collaboration with the Research team
  • Helping clients identify useful user journeys and good UX Practices
  • Proofreading and publishing content drafted by other team members, while ensuring our high-quality standards are met consistently
  • Taking on a lead role in the planning, acquisition and production of Pulse’s content
  • Line managing other team members and assisting them in completing weekly targets
  • Cultivating your direct reports expertise within UX and financial services

Experience and qualifications

  • You will have commercial experience in the field of UX (or similar):
  • Opinionated and knowledgeable about UX/UI Design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Baseline knowledge of fintech/financial services and eager to learn more about the industry and the products within it
  • A collaborative and engaged team player with an interest in mentoring and helping others to learn and grow
  • Has some experience managing others and has a strong desire to do be a manager
