We have brought together the world’s leading experts in holistic health - from practitioners to scientists to thought leaders who are pushing the boundaries in the field. We assimilate this knowledge into the Walking on Earth platform, creating a network of practitioners, content and analytics to help you reach optimal health.
Workplace anxiety, stress, and mental health issues are growing at alarmingly high rates and corporates and employees are increasingly seeking holistic and preventative health solutions. Walking on Earth is the science backed stress management platform, empowering individuals to take charge of their health by creating a bespoke wellness regime grounded in the latest scientific research, and connecting individuals to the most trusted and sought after practitioners in yoga, meditation and complementary medicine.
Flexible working approach
Our mission is to elevate human happiness by tackling the stress epidemic; starting at work. To deliver on this mission, we are building an authentic culture that focuses on empowering individuals to bring their best to work, and so are flexible as to what flexible means.... We do have core hours but our team are distributed across the world, so this is really to make sure we have some times that work for team calls. We are outcome driven; get what you need to done, we are not going to be seeing whose slack light is green at 9:01am. We are remote-first but will be looking to offer flexible office space going forward. Our benefits include free team and individual wellbeing sessions every week.
Scoring against our flexibility index (1 = not at all flexible, 100 = couldn’t be more flexible, 51 is average) using a number of parameters to assess flexibility such as working from home, hours, frequency of travel, benefits, etc.
Employee benchmarking score
Scoring against our employee perception index (1 = not seen as flexible, 100 = couldn’t be happier with the flexibility, 51 is average) using a number of more emotional / perception based questions to understand whether employees feel supported and offered what they want. The areas we cover are work-life balance / managerial support / flexible benefits / working environment / and many others.
What do we think of Walking on Earth?
The best thing about Walking On Earth in my opinion is that how they operate as an organisation is inextricably linked to the service they are delivering. They're at the forefront of optimising work-life balance for the modern worker and their own internal "flexibility" goes way beyond what we usually see. This is the model of working that we hope to see widespread.
Meet who might be hiring you
As part of new starters' onboarding we send them two books. One is "Let My People Go Surfing" by the founder of Patagonia and the second is "Present Moment, Wonderful Moment" by the Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh. These texts really sum up our approach to employment; as a business that focuses on reducing stress in the workplace, we believe in empowering our people to work how, where and when they want, so as to maximize their own happiness. We know their performance will follow.
