Calipsa's mission is to make the world a safer place. Our solution utilises deep learning technology and leading video analytics software to detect and prevent crime, and to filter out false alarms.

About us

Calipsa was born in London in 2016, founded by a team from Cambridge, UCL and Imperial Universities. We saw the burden that false alarms place on security teams monitoring video surveillance cameras, and believed we could make a real difference to crime prevention through a unique new approach, applying AI technology to the challenge.

We are proud to have built a world-class platform and suite of video analytics products that transform the way businesses detect and prevent crime; and empower security professionals worldwide to make better decisions - in real-time. Our technology isn’t like traditional video analytics. Calipsa is a uniquely cloud-based platform that uses machine learning technology to improve the efficiency of video surveillance cameras. We work with companies in 6 continents to help them identify and analyse threats and our mission is clear: to make the world a safer place.

Flexible working approach

Calipsa is a fully remote, globally distributed company. The team works in many different places around the world across multiple time zones. Most people work from home, but we also recognise that some people prefer having the option to work from an office, so our team can expense co-working passes. We also have a generous home-working allowance to help you set up your working space.

We are truly flexible. We don't care where you work from or how many hours you work, as long as you hit your objectives.

I love the work life balance that I get at Calipsa. From previous jobs there was such pressure to stay until a certain time and did an enormous amount of clock watching which doesn't happen in this role. I want to work hard to make sure my customers are happy but then when there are quieter times I enjoy having the additional time to do life.
