Our mission statement is that, in five years, using a plastic card will be as alien as writing a cheque. And if that means less plastic in our trash then I’d like to think that the Banked family are doing their little bit to leave the world in a better place than when we found it.
Banked intends to create the next global payments network. We believe credit and debit cards were created for a world that no longer exists, and technology will enable us to create a new, living payments network. We believe that the core purpose of a payment network is to enable sales and conversion, not to just move money and we're doing that with data in a way no one has seen before.
We're very fortunate that COVID has meant growth in our business. As more transactions move online and as merchants focus more on improving margins our innovative, fundamentally different model for a payment network is gaining more and more traction.
Flexible working approach
We've always enabled remote working as a company, and COVID has given us the opportunity to embrace that even more; our team is now 100% distributed, and we believe it's the right way for us to continue to scale our mission.
Scoring against our flexibility index (1 = not at all flexible, 100 = couldn’t be more flexible, 51 is average) using a number of parameters to assess flexibility such as working from home, hours, frequency of travel, benefits, etc.

Scoring against our employee perception index (1 = not seen as flexible, 100 = couldn’t be happier with the flexibility, 51 is average) using a number of more emotional / perception based questions to understand whether employees feel supported and offered what they want. What do we think of Banked?
Banked's account-to-account payment software has the potential to completely change the way that we pay for things whilst providing a faster, and cheaper, way for retailers to receive payments. Add in the environmental impact from less plastic, and we have a company that is making a real impact.
